Travel Protection Plan
Through our trusted partner Trip Mate, we offer a plan that include benefits such as trip interruption, trip delay, accident and sickness medical expense, baggage and personal effects, missed connection and more. Part A: Cancel For Any Reason Waiver (provided by Member First)*:
The travel protection plan includes a non-insurance Cancel For Any Reason Waiver that must be purchased at time of booking, and cannot be purchased with a Future Travel Credit (FTC). Member First offers two options for the waiver and allows you to cancel Your Trip with Member First before Your scheduled departure for any reason under one of the following reimbursement options:
- Cancel for Any Reason – Future Travel Credit (FTC): for this option, non-refundable unused amount you paid for your trip can be reimbursed in the form of credit for future travel with Member First, valid for one year from date of issue, less the cost of the travel protection plan if you must cancel or change your trip prior to departure.
- Cancel for Any Reason – Cash Back: for this option, the non-refundable unused amount you paid for your trip can be reimbursed in the original form of payment (cash, check or credit card), less the cost of the travel protection plan if you must cancel or change your trip prior to departure.
Travel Advisor Commission Protection Included
Travel advisor commission is protected at no additional fee with both plan options. With Cancel for Any Reason – Future Travel Credit (FTC), travel advisors receive the greater of $200 or 10% of their original commission, not to exceed the original commission amount. Cancel for Any Reason - Cash Back includes 100% commission protection. Commission Protection is paid once per trip plan purchased. Protection plan coverage (FTC or Cash Back) must be included for all travelers on the booking and be paid in full with initial deposit/payment for your trip. The booking must be paid in full at time of cancellation and must be cancelled in full to receive commission protection. Claims for commission must be made online within 10 business days of cancellation. Any travel agency fee is not protected with either Cancel for Any Reason protection plan option, and will be refunded back to the client. All offers and programs are subject to change or cancellation without notice. Travel Advisor Commission Protection is provided by Member First and is not an insurance benefit.
We can also refund any additional fees you would otherwise incur for a change in your per person occupancy rate if a person booked to travel with you cancels his or her trip and you do not cancel your trip.
On a one-time basis, you have the option to have any supplier change fees refunded, if you make changes to your trip. However, the Waiver is voided after the one-time change coverage is utilized.
Member First requires written notice of cancellation. This only refunds those Travel Arrangements purchased from Member First and refunds cannot exceed $20,000 per person and $60,000 per booking.
Member First’s Future Travel Credits (FTC) are issued in the names of the passengers who cancelled and are non-refundable, non-transferrable, valid for travel within one year from date of issue and may not be redeemed for cash. *For residents of NY or MN: Part A Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation Waiver can be purchased separately from the rest of the plan. When purchased separately, the Part A Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation Waiver is non-refundable. Contact Member First at 800-448-3333 in order to purchase the Cancellation Fee Waiver separately.
Part B: Post-Departure Travel Insurance benefits (underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company) along with other non-insurance services:

Generali Global Assistance provides emergency assistance services provided by multi-lingual professionals that are available 24 hours a day to provide help, advice and referrals for medical emergencies. We will help you locate local physicians, dentists, or medical facilities, and provide services for much more.
Blue Ribbon Bags (BRB) provides a Delayed Baggage Protection service that is offered as a value-added service to enhance the customer experience when traveling. Blue Ribbon Bags will track and expedite the return of delayed airline baggage from when the destination flight lands.
Portable Personal Health Record Provided By FootprintID® – FootprintID® provides a secure solution for individuals to take control of their medical records and enables immediate access wherever they are in the world.
